SoundDiviner is a workflow application used to backup all your different synthesisers in one software product. Backups can be stored together in one project for quick and easy location and transferral back to the synthesiser of your choice. SoundDiviner
will work with any synthesiser, but exploring your backups will require Plugins (sold separately).
Technically all hardware and software synthesisers are unique and not designed to be compatible. Plugins provide tools to explore backups and manage the data within them. Libraries can be created that exceed the original synthesiser specifications.
Plugins provide gateways between libraries, hardware & software synthesisers and even different Plugins. Even synthesisers without preset memory are supported with Plugins.
SoundDiviner supports two main types of Plugins, synthesiser Plugins and adaptor Plugins. Synthesiser Plugins are designed to work with their namesake synthesiser and adaptor Plugins are designed to make connections between Plugins.
Synthesiser
Plugins are available in three variations, ones that communicate with hardware synths and others that work with software synths. The third varation are a representation of a hardware synthesiser and these are called Patch Sheet Plugins.
